Panama City Beach and St. Andrew's State Park
Come to St. Andrew's State Park for an idea of how the city must have once appeared before all of the apartment blocks and tall hotels arrived. The award-winning beach here is just huge, miles of white sand, beautiful waters and plenty of opportunities to snorkel. We had a go and hired snorkelling equipment on the beach. I just wish I had an underater camra to capture what we saw underwater.

Deep Sea Fishing in Panama City
Over the years, Panama City has become famous for a lot of things, and deep sea fishing is one of them. I'm no fisherman by any means or description, but I was intrigued and thought I'd have a go, so I paid my money and climbed aboard. To be honest, I was most worried about feeling sea sick, but I was ok in the end. I went with the Jubilee boat, along with about 30 other people, although there were lots of other boats to choose from around Thomas Drive, such as Florida Deep Sea Fishing. The trip lasted around five hours ($50) and longer ones are available. And did I catch anything you ask? Yes I did - a nice flounder and some Spanish mackerel. Did the biggest caught that day, but I was very pleased with my catch.

Gorgeous Waters - Perfect for a dip!
Well, the waters next to Panama City really were gorgeous, and crystal clear, and not too cold either. I simply had to go for a quick dip. It was very shallow and I would imagine this was a good place for snorkelling and perhaps scuba diving, because there seemed to be lots of little fish swimming around the artificial reefs. Some local told me that there were also some shipwrecks nearby as well.
